South Africa is often called the crime capital of the world, and I've always said that if the effort and innovation to think up new schemes and cons, were put into a useful activity...we'd be the richest country on earth. Seems we aren't really that unique if you read this report from the Mercury newspaper in Pennsylvania, USA....
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) — An Atlantic City casino's slot machines had nothing on its vending machines for one New Jersey couple.Police say the pair robbed 60 Coca-Cola vending machines on hotel floors of the Taj Mahal Casino Resort, making off with $15,000.Video surveillance shows a man and a woman using a master key to open the machines and clean out all the cash inside.
Philip Silvers, 28, and Crystal Studstill, 26, both of Millville, were identified from the tape, and police say they were arrested Friday night.
Both were charged with theft, vandalism and conspiracy, and were being held in the Atlantic County Jail.
